Chak de India!!!

In a country where sporting success is synonymous only with Cricket, a movie on Hockey was quite a daring attempt... but what a way to pull it off.

In my mind, this movie surpasses Lagaan, sheerly because of the reality in the script... you actually end up believing that this can happen. The movie has humor, drama, action... and a LOT of patriotism. SRK is at his best as Kabir Khan, the coach...and his gang of girls match up to him... god knows why we dont get more such movies from our beloved Bollywood.

I am sure this movie would be the saving grace for YRF, after the string of sub-standard trash that they have been doling out in the last one year.

SQUASH... my latest passion

Sometime in the summer of 2005, I chanced upon the game... we were at a conference in Goa and the Hotel happened to have a squash court... and being an avid tennis player in school, I took an instant liking to this game...

But it was not until sometime early this year when i moved houses did I get a chance at the game again... that's because my complex happens to have a Squash court. Since then it has become the love of my life... but whats so great about it.

To the viewer it mas seem like a munday game where two people keep on senselessly hitting the ball to a wall... but there is much more to it.

FIRSTLY, it is the most physically active racquet game in the world... 60 minutes of Squash burns MORE THAN 700 calories.

Then comes the strategy...unlike other racquet games where you and your opponent have different playing areas, in this game the it a common area, which makes it that much more difficult to hit winners...and of course rallies are longer.

So if you want to get fit quickly...SQUASH is the game for you.

I am back

Well the 20 day hiatus turned into a pretty long one... but I hope i am more regular hereon.

Going forward i'll try to do atleast 1 post a week... lets see if i can keep it up.
